We accept children from three months to five years old.  

We are open from 7.30 am – 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. Our preschool is open 52 weeks of the year (excluding Bank Holidays). 

The address for Odyssey the Global Preschool is 248 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 6JF.  

Unfortunately, there is no car park on site. The nearest car parks and tube stations are as follows: 

• NCP London Marylebone Road Car Park – 170 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5AR. 
• Marylebone Underground Station – 0.2 miles 
• Baker Street Underground Station – 0.4 miles 
• Edgeware Road Underground Station – 0.3 miles

Odyssey offers a very unique proposition; we have combined the positives of both traditional nurseries and preschools. Whilst we have a formal curriculum and expertly trained teachers, as expected from a typical preschool, we cater to a wide range of ages from 3 months to 5 years old.

As a global preschool, languages and communication are a central part of the Odyssey curriculum. The languages on offer are French, Spanish, and Chinese.  

The team of educators at Odyssey are highly qualified early years specialists with a variety of qualifications, setting them apart as industry leaders. For example, Angela Ang (Head of School) earned a master’s degree in early childhood education and a diploma in kindergarten education teaching. Our teacher-to-child ratio exceeds industry standards to ensure each child receives personalised attention. Ratio varies by age group, with higher levels of support for younger children. 

The Odyssey curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emillia approach which prioritises differentiated and personalised learning, catering to each child’s individual developmental progress and readiness to learn. Our well thought out curriculum goes beyond the EYFS, Early Years Foundation Stage, and is split into four age-appropriate groups, Junior Bambino, Senior Bambino, Tots, and Preschool.

The Reggio Emilia approach is an innovative educational philosophy that originated in the town of Reggio Emilia, Italy in 1963. Developed by educator Loris Malaguzzi and local parents, this approach is rooted in the belief that children are capable, curious, and full of potential. It emphasises child-led, experiential learning in a collaborative and nurturing environment. 

We believe in a strong, collaborative relationship between parents and educators. Parental involvement, active home-school collaboration and networking have become platforms for supporting children in their early years development and promoting family interests in raising happy, healthy children at Odyssey. 

We believe that parents form an integral part of a successful early childhood education programme. This is why we provide frequent and informative updates on each child’s daily activities and developmental progress. Additionally, we hold regular in-person sessions with parents to discuss milestones and key focus areas for development.  

We are incredibly excited to announce that The Odyssey Global Preschool app will be launching later this year! Our secure parent app will provide real-time updates regarding your child’s daily activities, meals, nap times and so much more. 

Mealtimes at Odyssey are more than just eating – they are an opportunity for our children to discover new flavours, textures, and culinary experiences. Our aim is to inspire curiosity and foster a love of food whilst creating an enjoyable and educational experience for every child.  

At Odyssey, all meals and snacks are included in the nursery fees. Each day the on-site chef will freshly prepare breakfast, lunch with dessert, an afternoon snack and an evening meal with dessert.

We take all dietary needs and medical conditions seriously. Our team works closely with parents to develop individual care plans, ensuring safe and inclusive mealtimes. Our team members are all trained in allergy management and can take action in the event of an emergency. 

Our settling-in process is personalised for each child and family. We offer gradual transition sessions, comfort strategies, and dedicated key educators to ensure every child feels secure and confident in their new environment. We encourage parents to book a personal tour, to learn more about how we tailor our settling in experience for every child.  

At Odyssey, we are committed to providing a rich, immersive early years’ experience. For this reason, we offer only full-day sessions for 2-5 year olds and require children to attend for at least two full days a week. We know that Odyssey children benefit greatly from the opportunity to experience the full curriculum before they leave us to start their school journey.
For children aged under two we offer shorter days (9:00-15:00), and require attendance for a minimum of 2 full days or 2 short days (short days must include either a Monday or a Friday). Shorter days can offer flexibility to younger families, as they ease both children and their families into life at Odyssey. As children grow and develop, attendance is encouraged to change to full days so they can fully benefit from our unique curriculum. Shorter days will convert to full days when the child turns two years old.
